It ranks third in terms of economy in the whole of the Philippines. The port at Manila is the largest sea port in the Philippines, making it the biggest and main international shipping gateway to the country.
Manila is the home to the headquarters of The Asian Development Bank, which lends money to promote growth in the economy. Industries in Manila make many products such as clothing, furniture and electronics that are sold all around the world, making it an important trade centre in the Pacific area. It’s major exports are electronics, clothing and textiles, and processed food.
